Sale of Tuna:

Tagging Requirements:
All bluefin tuna must be tagged and reported via NOAA’s HMS Catch Reporting System within 24 hours of landing.
Charter Responsibilities:
Charters must ensure compliance with all HMS regulations, including permit requirements, bag limits, and reporting catches. Captains are responsible for educating anglers about the rules and enforcing them onboard.
All permits, fishing gear, bait, and fish cleaning are provided by Whistler Fishing Charters. The only things guests need to bring are appropriate clothing for the weather, and any desired food and beverages.
Angler Responsibilities:
Anglers must familiarize themselves with bluefin tuna regulations, including size and bag limits, and follow the guidelines provided by the captain. No fishing permits are required by guests; they are covered under the boat’s permit.
